HTC EVO 4G Rooted Stock ROM 4.53.651.1 Odexed & De-Odexed

HTC EVO 4G Rooted Stock ROM 4.53.651.1

Here's the latest HTC EVO 4G 4.53.651.1 OTA update that has pulled from the phone. This the complete original stock with no modifications been made. It includes the latest superuser.apk, deodex version and a odexed version.

This also includes latest Radio PC36IMG.zip to flash via hboot to upgrade you to the newest radio, just upload it to the root of your sd-card and reboot into hboot and make sure to choose yes when it asks.

HTC EVO 4G Software Update - 4.53.651.1
It’s better to see that even if a newer, better smartphone, like the Evo 3D is out, Sprint and HTC have not given up on the Evo 4G yet. It’s still one of the most popular handsets on the market right up there with the iPhone. Now, it’s getting a bit more treatment as an OTA update is heading your way if your still and EVO 4G owner.

This latest update is reportedly to focus more in Sprint’s 4G WiMax network to fix bugs in that area.
Enhancements/Fixes:

- Integrated voice recognition accuracy with voice search and voice-to-text

- Image size issue with contact transfer over bluetooth

- Images cut off in Picasa

- Group contacts not in alphabetical order

- Out of memory, Unable to send SMS

The Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the Evo 4G will bring some much needed bug fixes

    * fixes for the infamous SMS bug
    * fix for multiple Gmail account syncing
    * fix for a battery that refuses to charge anymore when discharged beyond the low battery threshold
    * A hilarious to all non-Spanish-speaking users fix to the SMS app that reads "Me instead of Yo in SMS thread conversations when set to Spanish" ("Yo" means "I" in Spanish)

This is the 2.6.35.10-htc-kernal_and18-2-signed.zip file you are downloading, make sure to read full instructions on installing this kernel to your HTC Evo 4G Phone
To flash it, follow these instructions:

   1. Download the OTA
   2. Rename the file "update.zip" (the actual file suffix needs to be .zip, make sure .zip isn’t just in the name [eg, not update.zip.zip])
   3. Place the file on the root of your SD card (the main directory you see when you mount your EVO as a disk drive)
   4. Reboot into recovery (power off, then hold volume down when you hit then power button to power back on)
   5. Select recovery from the menu with the power button, then, when the sign with the exclamation point appears, press Power+Volume Up at the same time, and wait (up to 30 seconds).
   6. Now, select bootloader with the power button, then scroll down to Recovery and select it with the power button.
   7. Finally, select "Apply sdcard:update.zip", wait for it do its thing, then select reboot. The fresh reboot may take a while and several restarts to apply – so be patient.
