THIS IS AN ENHANCEMENT THAT SONY ERICSSON IS CURRENTLY RELEASING FOR ALL XPERIA FAMILY DEVICES.

Xperia Arc Firmware 4.0.A.2.368 Global Generic firmware

What you will get is:
Updated: It seems this firmware makes the Booting Much much quicker. I can't say if it's true but anyone else can confirm this besides me. thanks
Updated: I currently will be in vacation for 6 days. This thread will be Updated by my Brother. Thanks guys I appreciate your thumbs up
Some improvements to this upgrade:
Theme support, available under 'Display' settings or with a long-press option on the home screen. Still limited to a handful of SE themes but if you always wanted less blue in the menus it's now an option.

The Gingerbread CRT-off animation makes its first appearance!

The widget overview accessed with a pinch on the home screen now has the widgets floating about. Shaking the phone sends them flying. Pretty and smooth animation but it makes the overview practically unusable IMO, I'll tap SE about this.

Several ring tones have disappeared, among others the one I were using (Digital Phone). Not a big issue.

I'm finally able to set a silent alarm! Previous firmwares allowed setting the alarm sound to 'None' in the list but always defaulted back to the last set sound anyway. This is now fixed.

Setting the alarm time now entails spinning dials instead of clicking. Faster but less precise.

Various UI text is now smaller and sharper.

Additional bloatware, of which some can be uninstalled without root.

'Connected Devices', a more intuitive and cleaner version of the DLNA media server software.

The address book looks a bit different, I think. Unfortunately it's still impossible to change the sorting order of contacts.

The photo album offers a few more options when you call up the menu.

Digital zoom available at all camera resolutions. Only for images though, not video.

Compression levels of still pictures remain overly high.

xLOUD option to significantly enhance audio output strength from the rear speaker. Almost painfully loud IMO.

Using the HDMI mirroring feature now forces the home screen into landscape mode for a better fit with widescreen TVs.

There is also the Keyboard option for International (full keyboard or Phonepad !)

Minor updates:
Video Editor
Data Monitor
Contact Widget
Timescale extension search
Friends & Music
Setup screen has been changed
Nice Update Center
Etc.
They introduced

New layouts for background theme management
New Xloud benefits
Etc

REQUIREMENTS:Gingerbread 2.3.3

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc Rom 3.0.1.A.0.145/Andriod 2.3.3 [Hong Kong/Global] Update

Here's a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc Rom 3.0.1.A.0.145/Andriod 2.3.3 Update for HK /Global
so far,...  it includes the o2 and hong kong firmware, we will wait for the other updates as soon when they get released.. Yet this firmware is a full image, you can flash it using flashtool, and it will wipe everything, so just make sure you have a backup of your files. Rooting doesn't work on this firmware unfortunately like superoneclick or gingerbreak.

o2 Branded - no bloatware included, so i suggest flashing this compared to the hong kong version(i found it to be smoother as well)

big thanks to rumnyc for providing this files.

Note: Root using superoneclick or gingerbread method
It will wipe everything so make sure you guys back up your files

Here are the list of changes found so far and the dump:
1) Hotmail ActiveSync has been fixed. It now works with the native email app. Finally I have a unified Hotmail/Gmail inbox. However, its not perfect. No HTML mail support :'(
2) Facebook status in contact page under the name
3) Facebook photos and albums under a photos page after opening a contact.
4) Facebook calendar sync with Calendar app.
5) Every one of your facebook albums are now in your andriod gallery application.
6) There is a new page called interests that show all the facebook groups a contact has joined.
7) Locked home screen shows summary of SMS notification. This looks new to me.
8) Sometimes when scrolling the screen would register a tap when I meant to scroll (this happened frequently). They seem to have tweaked the sensitivity and it appears better. Or maybe I am imagining it.
9) Generally faster scrolling. Again maybe I am imagining but it does appear smoother.
10) Photos look better. 8/6mp files don't seem any bigger than before so they probably tweaked sharpening settings or something else.

Solution: How to Fix Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Insert Sim Card Problem

If the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 unable to detect, read or if the phone does not recognize the SIM card. It could be the SIM card that is damaged or it could be a phone problem?
Here's the solution on how to fix the problem....

Try to insert a different SIM card on the phone and check if this works. If it does not work,  visually check the SIM card connector for possible damaged or clean it if necessary.
Try to repair the device firmware using PC Companion. If it still does not work, the problem may possibly on the phone's hardware components.

The solution below shows the connection line paths and components that holds of the Xperia X10 SIM card circuit. This may help in troubleshooting sim card problem issues.

On Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 the Sim card connector or slot is mounted on flex board assembly together with the microSD memory card holder. If the said flex is damaged it may result to "sim card and memory card not recognized problem". The the whole Sim card flex board is replaceable and it's not hard enough to find or purchase a replacement for it.

You must check the Sim card flex board assembly first and ensure it has a good and in proper connection between the PIN connector on the PCB board.  Then replace it if found damaged. If the SIM Card flex seems still okay, refer to the solution below and then trace the corresponding SIM card pins connection line paths like: VSIM or VUIM, RESET, CLOCK, DATA and GROUND connections.

Check the SIM card flex pin connector solder status, resolder or replace if damaged.  Check each of the filter coils connected to it. Re-solder or replace if damaged. The VSIM can be read around 1.8V to 3V when the SIM card is inserted to the device. Lack of VSIM voltage or if it is missing is cause by a faulty power management IC. That's it, good luck!

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Not Charging Problem Solution - Hardware

Here's a solution we already tested to fix Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Not Charging problem. This solution covers for hardware repair and not on firmware. Do software calibration first if you are not sure what causes your mobile phone that is unable to charge.

This may help if when you get a charging problem such as follows:
- The device suffered wet or water damaged, heavily dropped, the USB connector is damaged etc.
- When plug in the charger the battery indicator light on the front turns on but the battery is still not getting charged and the battery icon is also not indicate charging..
-Not charging when pluged it in, the green light flashes and then it goes dark.

To fix not charging on Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, you may first Ensure the following:
- Does your battery is not totally drained? A drained battery will not charge up and absolutely don't power or turns ON. , because of insufficient  voltage ratings- Replace it or try to use another working one.
- Ensure that the USB or wall charger is still working or try to use another known working one, or try the charger to another X10 device.

Here's the solution that fix Xperia X10 Not Charging problem.
This applicable for technicians with good soldering skills only.

Firstly  visually checked the device PCB board charging components for possible oxidation build ups and damaged such as the USB pin connector and the charging protection components.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Not Charging Problem Repair Solution

* Trace each of the USB pin connector VBUS, Ground, also includes the D- and D+ for it will result to USB to PC or laptop connection problem.
You can read around 5V up using a multimeter on the VBUS pin when the USB or wall charger is plug-in.
* Re-solder the USB pin Connector, if necessary. (in other device these part is covered or glued, just remove it by a heat gun or safely just scratch it out)
* Check VBUS and GROUND pins O ohms resistors and replace if found damaged.
* Reconnect or mend a jumper wire if there are USB pins line paths already broken, open or cut.
* Rework the Charging Over voltage protection circuit, replace if not charging still continues on Xperia X10.

That's it for now,... more solution will be publish soon..
